For example I really like Kenji Mizoguchi, but only have “Ugetsu” and “Sansho the Bailff”, so for now I just have those in “Foreign” untill I get a few more of his movies. once I get past 4-5 movies from an Auteur, I make a folder and thumb for them. I choose my favorites, but also for me has to be a Director that I have a lot of their movies. Still loving Good Bye Black Mamba every day since you released - Thanks for props and the link. Sheesh, took me a long time to figure out the snakeskin look. As I assume you can tell, I was inspired by your theme and tried modeling my thumbs to match well with it. Since I can’t code a theme, here is a little way that I and others like me can give back to the community Anyone who wants to add to the fray, jump in and share up your graphics. If you and are willing to, feel free to repost them in this thread so we will have a thread full of genre thumbs of various styles that people can find and download easily. These are links to genre thumbs that have been recently posted by others. Here is the link to the individual jpegs, each at 240x360 I know that is a super niche area, and very few people will have the same favorite Directors as I do, but I’ll post them next anyways in case there is another obsessive movie collector out there that wants to use them. I also sort some movies by my favorite directors. I have a few subgenres at the bottom as well. The picture below has been shrunken to fit the page, the actual jpegs are 240x360. I made these to match well with the Black Mamba theme, but they they work well with any of them. Here are the ones I’ve made and if anyone likes them you can download from the link below. Perhaps we need a permanent thread for them so people can find them easily? Below are links to other peoples posts that shared their thumbs recently. There are a lot of posts with them scattered about. I love that idea and will throw mine in as well. I am a big fan of all of us sharing our work and ideas with the community, and recently a lot of folks have generously offered their movie genre thumbs to the board.
